An Indianapolis guy pleaded guilty Tuesday to working a genuine estate fraud scheme that defrauded investors of thousands and thousands of pounds.

Herbert “Bert” Whalen, 47, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit wire fraud through videoconference right before U.S. District Judge Madeline Cox Arleo of New Jersey. He was charged in November 2019.

Whalen, who operated Oceanpointe Home Administration in Indianapolis, engaged in a scheme from August 2016 to July 2018 to get hold of revenue from dozens of out-of-condition traders, prosecutors stated.
